Welcome back to part three of the 和製英語シリーズ !
1.
In American English, when we are given a choice between two or more things, we can say, "I
don't mind." which means, I'm happy with either offer.
don't mind."
example:
A: Would you like some coffee or tea?
B: I
don't mind. I like both.
A: Alright then, I'll bring you some tea.
A: Do you want to stay in for dinner? Or go out?
B: I
don't mind either way.
A: Let's go out then! I'm in the mood for some Italian.
In America, we call them
video games. Whether they are on a console, computer, tablet or smartphone, they are all called
video games.
example:
Minecraft is a popular
video game played all over the world from children to adults.
This one is easier to guess, but still called a different thing in English. In America, they are called key chains.
example:
Many younger people liked collecting
key chains in high school.
Mansions are very large homes that often only the luxurious can own.
example:
One of my friends lived in a
mansion and had a chauffeur that drove him everywhere.
