2023年サマーイベントにご参加いただきました皆さま、誠にありがとうございました。

We had a great turn out this year!
今年はたくさんの子どもたちが参加してくださいました！

We had three days planned each with a different craft. We made key chains on Tuesday, bangles on Wednesday and a summer globe on Thursday.
３日間それぞれ違うクラフトを計画しました。火曜日はキーチェーン作り、水曜日はバングル作り、木曜日はサマーグローブを作りました。

Our theme was ⛺CAMPING!⛺ We set up a tent, a picnic table and some camp chairs for the children to enjoy! For activities, we had a fishing contest where students had to add in English and a beetle hunt where students had to find clues to get to the beetle.
今回のテーマは、CAMPING!　子どもたちが楽しめるようにテントとピクニックテーブルとキャンピングチェアーを設置しました！アクティビティは、英語での足し算を学ぶa fishing contest（フィッシングコンテスト）や英語のヒントを次々にたどり最終的にカブトムシを見つけるa beetle hunt（カブトムシ狩り）を行いました。

After all the activities, we all enjoyed an American style lunch. We made sandwiches and had potato chips. To top it off, we made smores. It was the first time for many of our students to try smores. We all had a great time.
すべてのアクティビティの後、アメリカンスタイルのランチを楽しみました。サンドウィッチを作ったり、ポテトチップスを食べたりしました。おまけにスモアも作りました。多くの子どもたちがスモアに挑戦するのは初めてでした。みんなとても楽しい時間を過ごしました。

Some of the students were very surprised that Americans eat potato chips with sandwhiches for a meal! It was a great experience for the children.
子どもたちの中にはアメリカ人が食事にサンドウィッチとポテトチップスを一緒に食べることにとても驚いていました。
