Here's an update to the fish room and my fish collection!

Recently I bought some guppies online from a seller in Kumamoto. About 10 years ago, I came across this strain and bought some for myself. Unfortunately, they died within the first year I had them and I wasn't able to breed them.

Since then I have been looking for this particular strain, but have had no luck until fall of last year.

I came across this seller who had posted them on Yahoo Auctions, but unfortunately due to COVID-19, he couldn't ship them to the Kanto area with a live arrival guarantee. So I figured, I would wait until the pandemic went away. I waited and waited, but even after half of year of waiting, the pandemic did not seem to want to go away. After thinking it through, I messaged him and he agreed to send them to me, but would not guarantee the live arrival of the fish. Considering how long fish can live in bags and the current situation, I made the purchase and had them shipped to me.

The seller shipped six fish to me and they arrived live and healthy! Yay! I was so ecstatic! I almost danced around the house. Lol.

Recently, one of the female guppies gave birth to some babies, but unfortunately I wasn't around when it happened. I noticed only one of the babies was swimming in the fish tank. I have since separated the females that I believe are ready to give birth to live young. I have my fingers crossed and hope to have a tank full of babies soon! Wish me luck!
