How do you spend your Golden Week? Do you spend it at home because of the people and traffic? Or do you get out even with all the traffic? Is there something you usually do or do you try something new every year?

During Golden Week, my family, more often than not, avoid the rush by leaving at very early in morning.
We generally go to Yamanashi and spend time with the in-laws. While we are there, I often go fishing in the mountains where there are very few people. It's a great way to relax. Also my family and I also do fireworks and usually we have picnic next to the river. This is another great way to just enjoy the outdoors and get some fresh air.

Where do you go, what do you do and how do you avoid the bad traffic?
